Additional Information:

The Association has entered into a contract with a local pest control company to help control the population of ground squirrels in the common areas of Las Palmas Ranch.  To be most effective they will be applying bait (poison) on the hillsides beyond the fire roads / walking paths that surround Las Palmas.  The bait is very effective against small rodents (i.e. ground squirrels, mice), and if consumed in a large enough quantity can cause illness or death in dogs and cats.  The bait will be mechanically applied to insure that it is evenly distributed on the hillsides in an effort to prevent dogs and cats from locating the bait and ingesting large quantities.  Dogs and cats do not typically go after this bait.  The bait will be applied the beginning of March.  The specific time will depend on the weather and ground squirrel activity.  Please check this Las Palmas website for updates on application dates.  Please note that this same product has been successfully applied in Las Palmas Ranch – Phase II for several years with no problems to pets or to other animals.
